A Case Study of Audio on Demand Platform Spotify

This bachelor thesis is about the audio streaming company Spotify. The thesis aims to introduce and map the current form of the on-demand streaming platform Spotify. The theoretical part, using literature, introduces basic concepts related to the topic of the thesis, such as the concept of on-demand, the freemium payment model and other payment types of on- demand service providers. It also describes how music distribution works, copyright in the music streaming industry, advantages and disadvantages of on-demand services and analyses the competition. The second part of the thesis is a case study of Spotify. The introduction presents the company as well as its main ideas and the tools it uses. Then, the user experience of Spotify is discussed in detail, which can help to give a closer look at the current trends in the on-demand platform environment.

Therefore streaming will be the leading topic of this bachelor thesis. Firstly, the description of the technology itself will be mentioned. Podcasting - audio content in the digital era and its listeners in Czechia

The master thesis entitled "Podcasting - audio content in the digital era and its listeners in Czechia" is devoted to the phenomenon of podcasting which connects the traditional audio format with new digital technologies. It deals with its history and current state both abroad and in Czechia. It also describes the specifics of podcasting, compares it with radio programs, mentions the importance of podcast applications or the funding issue of independent podcasts. It focuses attention on the role of the audience in today's world and the associated concepts of participatory culture and user generated content. The audience is also associated with the uses and gratifications theory which tries to understand why people consume media content. The aim of the research part of the thesis was to obtain information about Czech podcast listeners with whom semi-structured interviews were conducted. The collected data were then processed using the grounded theory method. The findings are organized into five chapters in order to answer five research questions. They revealed the motivations of Czech listeners for listening to podcasts, their perception of podcasts in comparison with radio programs, their attitude to listening to Czech and foreign podcasts, their perception of podcast presenter and their attitude...

Analysis of supply ERP services offered via SaaS in Czech Republic for SME

Abstract This thesis deals with the analysis of ERP services offered by renting software as a service. The main aim of the thesis is to identify the area of ERP systems, analyze offers ERP services offered as SaaS (Software as a Service). Work should serve as an evaluation system for potential deployment in small and medium-sized enterprises on the Czech market The main contribution of this work could help smaller companies that want to upgrade their existing business, but hesitate in selecting the optimal solution. In the theoretical part I identified the general characteristics of ERP systems, where basic principles are defined and briefly describes the history and technology, which is the main pillar of this work. I also said current trends in enterprise information system, and defined him to a selected trend in cloud computing, here it describes in detail a form of service Software as a Service (SaaS), its benefits and risks of end-user perspective, and I also took into account the situation market in the field of corporate information that a solution. In the practical part of my work I created an overview of the Czech market ERP systems via SaaS. The practical part is the output of bid evaluation systems for small and medium-sized companies in the Czech Republic.
Overview of project management tools for managing web based projects

The thesis focuses on analysis and the selection of an appropriate project management tool for web based projects. The theoretical part characterizes project management, level of project management in IT environment and web based projects with their specifics. Within the web based projects, it characterizes the possibilities of development and delivery of the Web applications and the methodology used in the development -- rigorous and agile methodologies. The work focuses on the description of agile methodologies in managing software development and their usage in the management of web based projects. Procedures and ways of managing agile methodologies are reflected in the definition of requirements for functionality analyzed among the project management tools in the practical part. The practical part focuses on the description and characteristics of a sample of project management tools used in web based projects and analyzes the selection of the most appropriate one. Evaluation of project management tools is based on the level of compliance with the pre-defined functionalities and comparison of the cost of acquisition and operation for a 3 years period. The functionality of the selected project management tools is evaluated on the basis of meeting the level 8 defined areas. The cost for the project tools are evaluated in the methods of acquisition, which offers their suppliers - On-Premise, On-Demand with proprietary tools and Open Source Software tools under the GNU General Public License.
SaaS in corporate ICT - consequences, changes, opportunities

This thesis is focused on analyzing the current state of SaaS (Software as a Service) and impact of SaaS on corporate's ICT as a whole. The aim is to explain the concepts and implications of modern forms of providing services, to describe and to evaluate their benefits and risks and to assess future developments in this area. The attention will be paid on specifics of the environment of Czech companies. The first part of this work deals with the current SaaS solutions and related technologies. Emphasis is placed on acquainting the reader with currently available (or introduced by mid-2011) technologies and their mutual relationships. This section also summarizes the current level of knowledge of the field and on this basis provides definitions of areas and technologies. The next part of the thesis focuses on a particular cloud and SaaS solutions available on nowadays market. The next part of this section is based on a specific case study of a small company, which considers the move to SaaS solutions. This section is focused on the practical application of the preceding conclusions. Last section aims at the prediction of development of ICT business in the upcoming years, with an emphasis on SaaS and related technologies. The second part is trying to find answers to the questions "Whether," "When" and "How" will SaaS affect the market of information technologies, their deployment and business models of future anticipated expansion model of Software as a Service. SaaS maturity model is also discussed as well as specificity of the Czech market.

Bachelor Thesis deals with one of the biggest phenomenom of latest times in IT world -- cloud computing. Cloud computing is still "buzzword" and thus first part of Bachelor Thesis defines fundamentals, classification and characteristics of this revolutionary solution. Second part is analytical and it covers the biggest issues that come with adoption of cloud services such as security, compliance, IT organization and many others. Results of comprehensive analysis are used in third part which is the most important. It lists key success factors for adoption of cloud services which is also an objective of Thesis. They are defined as set of recommendations with brief description.
Web-based business applications

The purpose of this bachelor work is to introduce web-based business applications with focus on products that are generally known as SaaS (Software-as-a-service). SaaS as a new trend in information technologies is studied mainly from economic-operational angle, although technological aspects are mentioned as well. This work presents fairly advantages and disadvantages of using such applications and compares them with similar on-premise business applications.
